Traditional Wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan
A traditional Rajasthani wedding is one in which both the Bride and the Groom celebrate most of the events/functions like Haldi, Mehendi, Ganesh-Puja/Vinayak-Sthapna and the Sangeet (Music Night) separately. Groom then travels to the Bride’s place, with his friends and relatives (except his mother), to bring her to the new home. Groom’s mother usually stays at his home so that she can welcome the bride whole heartedly.
As oppose to this, a “Destination Wedding“ is one where both the bride and the groom host their marriage event(s) at an entirely new location and not their home.
Today, I will be sharing some of the photographs from the wedding of the lovely couple, Ankita and Ankit, held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Because of the large number of photos, I have divided the entire set of images into two blog posts. In today’s post, and first in the series of two, I have captured the events held at Bride’s place (as the official photographer from her side) before the arrival of the groom (Ankit). Here are the second set of images from the engagement and wedding ceremony of this lovely couple.
You can also browse through some of my earlier works onΒ candid wedding photography in Indore and in Udaipur.
Hope you will like my work. Please feel free to share your views in the “comments“ box at the end of this post. Enjoy the images. π
